Jim Bochat leads KFI Engineers Phoenix, AZ office, and recently merged his company, Commissioning Concepts, with KFI. Jim has been involved in the Arizona engineering and construction industry for over forty years. His experience includes mechanical design, mechanical construction, controls, test & balance, commissioning and re/retro-commissioning. He is also a former President of NEBB and has been instrumental in developing and teaching commissioning and re/retro-commissioning standards for NEBB. He is a life member of ASHRAE, and has served on several ASHRAE committees.
Jim is a native of Arizona and attended Arizona State University studying mechanical engineering. Prior to entering the mechanical construction industry, Jim’s experience included working for an Arizona utility, mechanical engineers, and architects.
In Jim’s spare time he likes to travel and spend time at his summer home in Northern Arizona. He also likes building and repairing things, and is on his way to owning one of every kind of tool made.
