The son of a construction superintendent, David knew early on he was interested in the industry – and it’s no coincidence he ended up in a related field. He quickly realized he had a knack for connecting with and listening to the people he worked with, which led to an opportunity in business development. This affinity for communication and networking became the catalyst for a career change, and he went back to school and obtained his MBA in marketing and strategic management. David was intrigued by the prospect of bringing an engineering approach to marketing by rethinking the processes to maximize the potential of the young and growing KFI Engineers.

“I have the benefit of a background in construction and experience in engineering, so I’m tracking with the clients’ strategic and tactical needs when we talk about their projects. I’ve also brought an engineering approach to KFI’s marketing process.” Dave’s strengths lie in taking the time to actively listen and truly understand problems or situations. He goes deep to get to the crux of the issues, and has an uncanny ability to retain details.

  • Over 30 years of experience in engineering, marketing and business development.
  • Guides the marketing and business development group in generating new business leads and introducing the firm to new markets, clients and regions.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife Kimberly and two children. He is a golf fanatic, and also enjoys hunting, fishing and downhill skiing. His family enjoys traveling together and entertaining friends and family at home.

“I value my transparent, enduring professional relationships with my colleagues and our clients. I have a thorough and deep understanding of our industry and our firm, which allows me to engage in meaningful dialogue with clients.”
